Children, I am so proud of you all. You have come back to school with the usual positive attitude to wrok and you look so smart in your new uniform! Year 6 are enjoying standing out in their new ties and some parents have even asked if years 3 to 5 can also wear a shirt and tie from next September - let me know what you think about this. It is also lovely to see how much fun you are having on the new playground equipment - lots of happy faces! Behaviour in and around school is excellent which means that everyone can get on with enjoying their time at school- enjoying and achieving. Well done to everyone, children and thank you also to parents and carers for you continued support in making Oakfield the best that it can be!!
Check out my cool Wee-Mee kids. You can do this too! This is how I would like to look if I was a kid again. Ask your teachers how you can do it.
What a great day we had today, didn't we? We had the Pop Project in, entertaining everyone with their great performance linked to a range of reading books. Children and staff across the school had a great time singing and dancing, although I had two left feet! We also had Tumble Tots for our younger pupils. It was lovely to see so many parents come along to watch their confident little ones work their way around the huge gymnastic obstacle course! And to top it all, the weather was beautiful, allowing the children to spread out and enjoy being on the field at breaks and lunch time. Let's hope the lovely weather continues, but don't forget your sun cream. Over and out for now!
